Thoughtful Words From Liam

 'I Love Library Words'

The Library is an elegant place. In the Library the non-fiction smells like serious business and the fiction smells like being free. When you open a fantastic book, you enter another world.

Book Buying

Last Wednesday Mrs Moore and I had a great day choosing new books for our library.
What did we get? Well that is a surprise for when you come on your next visit! But we not only bought books! We also now have five more native birds in the library and a Hairy Maclary!

New Books for Week Nine

Here are just some of the new books in the library this week:

         Lego Star Wars Character Encyclopedia
Pictures of Home by Colin Thompson
Smelly Bill Stinks Again by Daniel Postgate

Come in and have a read. Remember we are open before school starts at 8.30am.
Which book is your favourite this week?

Mrs Howard Loves to Read

Recently we had a visit from Mrs Howard, our ESOL support assistant. She kindly read to Room 6 one of her favourite books Fire! Fire! by Lesley Rees.
Even though it was very noisy outside due to the construction of our new classroom block we all enjoyed listening to someone new!!
Come back soon Mrs Howard.

Rainy Day Reading

What better place to be, than reading in the library on a wet winters
                         day!

My favourite new book this week is: One Smart Fish by Chris Wormell.
This is a funny tale about a fish who wants to walk on land!

New Books!

Here are some of our new books for week 7:

Pop-Up London by Jennie Maizels

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again by Frank Cottrell Boyce

The lemon bars in Sweet Treats look real yummy!
